Lesson 1 – Subject Pronouns

Os pronomes subjetivos correspondem, em português, aos pronomes do caso reto. Eles são usados para substituir os sujeitos, com a intenção de se evitar a repetição de nomes nas frases. São pronomes subjetivos:

Quanto ao uso:

I (Eu)

1ª pessoa do singular

You (você)

2ª pessoa do singular

He (ele)

3ª pessoa do singular

She (ela)

3ª pessoa do singular

It (usa-se para animais, objetos e neutros)

3ª pessoa do singular

We (nós)

1ª pessoa do plural

You (vocês)

2ª pessoa do plural

They (eles, elas)

3ª pessoa do plural

 Present Simple 

O presente simples pode ser usado para expressar:

1- uma ação habitual, ou seja, aquilo que costumamos fazer sempre:

I always leave home at 7:00. (Eu sempre saio de casa às 7h).
They generally have lunch at the shopping mall. (Eles geralmente almoçam no shopping).
I never work on Sundays.
(Eu nunca trabalho aos domingos).

2- uma verdade universal:

Babies cry. (Bebês choram).
Dogs bark. (Cachorros latem).

O“do” e o “does” são os dois auxiliares do presente simples, e eles sempre devem ser usados em frases negativas e interrogativas, conforme a tabela abaixo:

Conjugações dos verbos regulares em Inglês

Present Simple

Para I, We, They and You – Simplesmente tira o “To” do infinitivo.

Para He, She, It e nomes proprios – Tira “To” e addicione “S”

He walks… She walks… It walks…

Past Simple

Simplesmente tira o “To” do infinitive e bota “ed” no fim em todos os casos
